Colloidal silver is produced using an electrical process and contains charged silver particles, typically larger and more variable in size (often around 50–100 nm or more). Quantum.Silver®, by contrast, is manufactured using Quantum Dot technology, where very small silver nanoparticles (typically 20 nm) are bound to an inert carrier molecule (approximately 200–400 nm in size). This results in a more uniform and stable structure, making it better suited for use within structured animal care programmes.

- 13For a silage-based TMR: 1. Take a bucket and add 10–15 kg of mielie meal. 2. Sprinkle the Quantum.Silver® premix on top and mix thoroughly by hand, or use a mixer. 3. Add the contents of the bucket to the KEENAN mixer while it is running. This ensures the premix is evenly incorporated into the feed. Quantum.Silver® premix may be included in standard feed mixing systems as part of routine herd management practices.
- 14Yes. Silver is a stable noble metal, resistant to heat and pressure, making it suitable for pellet production. As a noble metal, silver is also non-corrosive. Quantum.Silver® premix may be incorporated into feed processing systems where appropriate.
